Our goal as candidates for the Board of Education is to provide equal educational opportunities to all students enrolled in the Southington School District.

Safety in Our Schools

Every Southington child is entitled to a quality education in a safe and comfortable learning environment.  We will continue to promote a zero-tolerance policy concerning drugs, alcohol, and violence in our schools.

Clear and Accountable Spending Policies

We will maintain a quality education for Southington children while remaining sensitive to the economic climate.  We will continue to seek opportunities to save money, while exploring unique ways to generate revenue to assist our budget.

Raising the Bar Academically for All Students

We will continue to monitor curriculum and ensure that all schools are aligned to properly prepare children for the future.  We are strongly committed to consistency in buildings, space, and instruction throughout our school system.

Strong Communication

We will continue to value and respond to ideas and concerns, while emphasizing and encouraging meaningful dialogue with school staff, residents of Southington, and other town officials.

We will remain a visible presence, actively connected to our school community while always serving the best interests of our children.
