I am a 25 year citizen of Southington with strong family and moral values. I grew up on the west side near Jude Lane and now reside with my wife and two children on the east side near Pleasant Street. I have seen Southington expand and flourish like no other over the last 10-15 years. I hope through my election onto the Planning and Zoning Commission, I may help Southington preserve the integrity and serenity of our precious residential community, while continuing to be “business-friendly”.
The time for responsible change is now! Our town can not afford costly zoning regulation errors due to oversight by our commissions. Renewed focus on our towns planning process will be instrumental to attract new business in appropriate locations while avoiding costly, taxpayer funded litigation battles over interpretations of weak zoning regulations.
It is my belief our commissions need citizens with passion, determination and strong technical, practical and business experience to help lead our community. At a time where Southington faces unprecedented pressure to reduce costs and increase revenue, we need to elect officials who care about the integrity our community, not partisan politics. My hope is to devote more time as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner to proactively plan for our town’s future by strengthening and improving our regulations, so we may preserve our beautiful community.
