My wife and I were married seven years ago and quickly decided to call Southington home. My grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles all grew up in Southington, and discovering all that Southington has to offer was an easy task. We had long enjoyed Southington’s businesses, activities, shopping and solid foundation of faith and family. Now, with one daughter in the school system and another ready to enter next year, we have come to appreciate Southington’s fantastic school system. Over the past few years, I have come to understand the critical role local politics plays in maintaining the health and well-being of Southington. More importantly, I have come to realize the direct effect an individual can have in the process. While my involvement in national politics has been tangential, I am thrilled at the prospect of having the exact opposite at the local level: a direct impact on the Town of Southington’s continued success. With this in mind, I decided now was the time for me to get involved, specifically on the Board of Finance. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, graduating summa cum laude from Marist College. Since graduating, I have worked for both large corporations and small businesses. Currently, I am an Assistant Vice President for a national insurance company, responsible for the management of a $35m revenue business unit. I am confident my business experience and education will allow me to effectively serve on the Board of Finance, doing my part to attract business to Southington, keep our budgets responsible and our taxes low. I am honored to run for the Board of Finance. If elected, I pledge to serve with integrity and a spirit of excellence. |
