As a member of the Board of Education since 2007, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the Southington school district and community. Every Southington student is valued as a member of our community and must receive a high-quality education in our schools. This is my expectation of our district and what every child deserves.
Southington residents can be confident that I highly regard my responsibilities on the Board of Education. As I have demonstrated over the last two years, I will consistently work hard for the community, be thorough in this work, and remain focused on the best interests of our schoolchildren. --remain committed to safety and security in our schools as a chief priority;
--continue to work for on-going, prudent fiscal accountability. I will continue to devote the time and effort needed to address details, ask questions, and assure taxpayers that BOE funds are used appropriately;
--expect academic excellence at all levels, supporting teachers and staff in this goal;
--be visible, open-minded and responsive to ideas, needs and concerns presented by parents, staff, and residents.

Held PTO leadership positions at the middle and high school levels, 1998 to 2006.
