I graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1989. In 1995, I purchased Southington Dental Associates and made Southington my home. In 2006, I moved the practice to Liberty Center located at 31 Liberty Street, Southington. I married the former Carmel Forte of Waterbury, Connecticut. My wife and I have lived in Southington for 13 years with our four children, Jeff, Casey, Matt and Callie. I’ve been a part-time clinical instructor of dentistry at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, in Farmington, CT for nearly 15 years. Besides lecturing on dental implants, I've been featured locally on ABC, NBC and Fox TV as well as several radio shows. I am excited to run for Town Council because I feel I can add a business perspective and leadership to the town. As past President of the Southington Chamber of Commerce I know the issues facing businesses today as the town continues to grow. My goal as a Town Councilor is to have the town run more smoothly as it grows. I am "big picture" thinker, and I know that all ideas have good attributes that need to be considered. Thus, I would like to have the Council be more cooperative with each other; show more respect for its members, other boards and commissions, town employees, and the towns people herself. I will work towards developing open and honest communication between these boards and commissions so that you are represented in a better and more professional manner. I would like review and update the town's capital improvement plan as well as develop short term and medium range goals; i.e. a strategic plan. If elected I will:
